Love is Never Silent 1985

Love Is Never Silent

Margaret struggles with her own need for independence and the obligation she feels for her deaf parents in the depression.  She had a older brother to share the burden but he was killed when they were both young children.  She tries to find happiness on her own but her initial joy in her marriage starts to be strained under the guilt she feels for deserting her parents and the bitterness they express towards her.
This is enjoyable and you see how difficult it is for Margaret.  She understands why her parents act the way they do but it doesn't make it easier to deal with them when they get really stubborn.  3 1/2* (I liked this movie)

100 min, Drama directed by Joseph Sargent with Mare Winningham, Cloris Leachman, Sid Caesar, Phyllis Frelich, Ed Waterstreet, Fredric Lehne, Mark Hildreth, Lou Fant Julianna Field.
