Peace, Love & Misunderstanding 2011

Diane is an attorney with two teenagers, her husband suddenly asks her for a divorce.  She felt they had grown apart but just had not done anything about it.  She decides to take the teens and visit her mother to get away from everything for a little while.  She has never seen eye-to-eye with her hippie mother Grace.  They are totally opposite in personality and lifestyle, Diane is straight-laced and lives in Manhattan.  Grace is the unofficial counter cultural community leader in upstate New York.   Together they try to search for common ground.
This movie is so predictable and bland with nothing original.  Like a smoothie of every movie of this type blended together with a waste of any available acting talent added for seasoning.  2* (I didn’t like this movie)

92 min, Drama directed by Bruce Beresford with Jane Fonda, Catherine Keener, Elizabeth Olsen, Nat Wolff, Kyle MacLachlan, Chace Crawford, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Note:  Blockbuster 2 ½*, imdb 5.4 out of 10, 29% critic 43% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
Special Note:  The casting of the actors playing each character is as predictable as the film!!
