This film is adapted from an off-Broadway play. Two years prior, Grace and Carlo were
invited to the home of Sharyl and Joel.
At this time Grace and Carlo were newlyweds. Sharyl and Joel have been married longer and they have a baby son. They were having marriage problems and contemplating
a divorce. Because of the terrible visit they had, Grace and Carlo decided
not to see Sharyl and Joel again.
Now, Sharyl and Joel stop by unexpectedly to see Grace and
Carlo. Sharyl and Joel have
repaired their marriage and are very happy. Grace and Carlo are having a lot of money problems, they
have a child now and Grace is expecting another child. Things go well in the beginning but
fall more apart than the first time.
This is very hard to watch and I’m surprised I was able to slog through
to the end!! Arguing back and
forth at almost every moment!! At
first, arguing between Sharyl and Joel, then between the four of them at the
second visit. I hope
that this was better as a play, it's terrible as a movie? 2*
