This
film is set in the 1970’s in Meridian, Texas. Bob Muldoon has gone to prison for a robbery and
shootout. He promises his wife
Ruth Guthrie that he will come back to her. Patrick Wheeler, a local sheriff is shot in the shoulder
during the gunfight. He comes by
Ruth’s home to tell her that Bob has escaped from prison and he would like to
know if he comes by to see her.
She turns over her letters from Bob to the sheriff and says he never
planned to come back to her. They
have a daughter that was born after Bob went to prison sentenced to 25 years.
The
story and the casting are good in this film. You’re not sure how it’s going to turn out as it quietly
goes along. Very nice filming with
sepia tones. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
