This film is a look
at the life of German-Jewish philosopher and political theorist Hannah Arendt.
She was a reporter for The New Yorker during the 1961 war crimes trial of the Nazi Adolf
Eichmann. Footage of the actual
trial is used. Arendt
is the author of Eichmann in Jerusalem and The Origins of Totalitarianism.
So dull, I cannot
begin to tell you how dull this really is. If you are tired or susceptible to falling asleep in front
of the screen, this will really put you out. There are subtitles to read and they might make it just a
little bit more difficult to drift off immediately. Maybe I am just not a “thinker,” I cannot imagine
wanting to read her books either?
2* (I didn’t like this movie)
