Based
on the true story of mob contract killer Richard Kuklinski. Richie is married to Deborah and they
have two daughters. Richie loves
them and wants the best for them but he kills people for a living and they
don’t have a clue. He had an
unusual talent for covering his tracks and he was working for 30 years starting
in the 1960’s. He worked as the
chief executioner for the Gambino crime family and he was called the
Iceman. He used freezers for the
victims to cover up the time frame of the murder. He also varied his methods to make it difficult for
investigators to make a profile of his kills.
Michael
Shannon is the perfect actor to play this role. Later in Richie’s career, he goes into intense sessions of
psychopathic rage endangering his beloved family. The pressures of maintaining a role in the business and
earning money really get to him.
There is a narrow focus and the theme is extremely dark in this
film. 3* (This movie is OK)
