Western outlaw
legends, the James gang, the Youngers and the Dalton boys also rode with Belle
Starr. She did the research behind
their selection of the trains, banks and other robberies. Belle lived with her son, Ed Reed on a
small ranch near a small town. She
has a daughter, Pearl Younger but she lives in town where she is learning to be
a lady. Belle doesn’t want Belle to
have any kind of a life like she is living. Her son is becoming jealous of his half sister since he
works hard on the farm but Pearl lives in a fine house in town. He’s also jealous of Belle’s
relationship with the men of the outlaw gang.
I
enjoyed this movie and it was unusual because Belle stands up to the law and
the townspeople. She lives her
life as she sees fit and she hasn’t met another woman yet “that she would want
to be like!” 3 ½* (I liked this movie)

Note: Belle Starr has been
featured in other films from 1928 through 2013. Many times historical accuracy was not important in the
film.
