The Pleasure Seekers 1964

This film is a not as well done musical remake of the 1954 film Three Coins in the Fountain.  Maggie Williams and her roommate Fran Hobson are living in Madrid.  They welcome their third roommate Susie Higgins after she arrives from the US.  Maggie is a secretary and she’s in love with her married boss.  Fran is an aspiring actress, flamenco dancer and singer.  Susie meets a wealthy playboy and her roommates have warned her about his methods of wooing women.  Fran meets a doctor when he accidently hits her with his scooter.
The plot is thin and used too many times before.  It seems more of a showcase vehicle for the talents of Ann-Margret.  The only good part is the beautiful scenery of Madrid.  I intended to watch another film instead of this one but I was mixed up on the titles?  2 ½* (This movie is just so-so)

107 min, Comedy directed by Jean Negulesco with Ann-Margret, Anthony Franciosa, Carol Lynley, Gardner McKay, Pamela Tiffin, Andre Lawrence, Gene Tierney, Vito Scotti, Isobel Elsom, Maurice Marsac, Shelby Grant.

Note:  Imdb 5.7 out of 10, 29% audience on Rotten Tomatoes, Amazon 4.3* out of 5* with 27 reviews, TCM 3.68 out of 5*.
Special Note:  Filmed in Museo del Prado, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalucia and Madrid, Spain.  This the last film for Gene Tierney and a critical and financial disappointment at the box-office.
