This series is based the Inspector Banks novels written by Peter Robinson. A police officer is killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call. A neighbor across the street initiated the call to the police. DCI Alan Banks is called to investigate. There are four bodies all women in the cellar. The wife has been hit on the back of her head by her husband by a blunt object. The husband is dead and the assisting officer killed him with her baton after he killed the lead police officer. DCI Banks is desperate to find the fifth victim, it’s possible she is still alive? All five women had been reported missing by their families.
Four of the missing women have been found but a fifth woman isn’t at the scene and she was also reported as missing. The wife has denied any involvement in the murders but is it possible she is lying or is she also a victim? The officer who killed the husband may be facing charges? 5* (I really liked this episode)

Note: Imdb 7.* out of 10* with 5,266 reviews, Amazon 4.5* out of 5* with 169 ratings, Imdb 10 out of 10*, The Telegraph 2* out of 4* Michael Hogan, Ebay 5* with 2 ratings, TV.com 8.5* out of 10*.
Special Note: There can be a lot of violence and shocking scenes in this series. Jack Deam is also Inspector Mallory on the Father Brown series. In Father Brown, he's always wrong and always making mistakes but that isn't the case in this series. He seems very competent.
