Tim Dwight is in his
early 20’s and he works hard, he’s dependable and he tries to help his mother
and brother. Jean works long hours
at a Sydney canteen and then she does stand-up comedy at night. Her young son Mark is disabled and she’s
divorced from their father. They’ve
bought a moving van and Tim makes money helping people move. He meets Jill, they
start to date but Jean doesn't like Jill because she wants to hang onto Tim. He thinks she might be the ‘one!'
Jean is a very dominant
personality and both Tim and Mark are struggling to break away from her apron
strings. It doesn't help that Dad is not in the picture
very much. This film needs
something to make it better? I
think the plot is weak and the actors have to really work to keep this going. 2 ½* (This movie is so-so)
