The Northpole is
shaped like a snowflake and it has grown into a huge city where Santa and Mrs.
Claus live with the elves and reindeer.
The Northern Lights are made up of sparks of happiness that come from
the holiday cheer of children. The
sparks float down as magic snowflakes and the elves use this to create toys for
Christmas. This cycle of happiness
powers the village. This year there
is a lot of cynicism and less togetherness in the world. The Northern Lights are flickering and the elves are worried
that they may not be able to make enough toys.
Chelsea is
Kevin’s mother, she makes a lot of mistakes with Kevin and with her job as a
reporter. They are trying to
get the Christmas lighting ceremony in the park to take place this year but
there is opposition everywhere. If
they can get the town and the people to gather together this year, they hope
to repower the Northpole? There is
a lot of fantasy in this film but this is an interesting concept. 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
