Many impatient
creditors are hounding Michel. He
is an artist in Paris and his income is meager. Michel gets wonderful news when he learns from a newspaper
that he has a winning Dutch lottery ticket for a million florins. He’s not sure of the conversion rate
but this will be more money than he has ever had in his life!! The ticket is in his jacket pocket but
he learns his fiancée Beatrice gave the jacket to a stranger. All his creditors are expecting Michel
to find this ticket. Michel’s best
friend Prosper is hoping to get some kind of split from the ticket. He also had a lottery ticket but his number
was not the winner.
This movie may be at
the top or at least in the top three of my most ridiculous movies list!! All of a sudden there are songs and
there is a LOT of running back and forth trying to find the ticket. There are many subplots moving along
with the plot of the ticket. I am
surprised I was able to stick it out to the end!! 2 ½* (This movie is just so-so)
