The Hitman's Bodyguard 2017

     Michael Bryce is a triple-A rated executive protection agent.  He takes pride in this top tier rating.  All this falls by the wayside when his client is murdered after boarding a private jet.  Now, two years later, Bryce is reduced to a second-class bodyguard for hire status.  Gone is the OU16 LVA Jaguar and other exclusive perks.  Trying to prove himself, he takes a job working for Interpol to escort renowned international assassin Darius Kincaid from Manchester to The Hague.  Kincaid is the only witness able to testify against a tyrannical Belarusian dictator.

     This film is over the top with EVERYTHING!!  I think a few spectacular scenes are enough without them happening almost every second?  Isn’t fewer but the best a plus over mediocre on and on??  More concise editing is needed and every other word doesn’t need to be swearing?  Almost one hour of this film must be filled with swearing??  The other hour is filled with car crashes??  These numbers make the plot very thin!!  2* (I didn’t like this movie)

Special Note:  Interpol is not a supranational law enforcement agency and has no agents able to make arrests.  It is an international organization functioning as a network of criminal law enforcement agencies from different countries.  The watch worn by Michael Bryce in the opening scenes is a Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillion 5002P with a 2017 street price of $1.2 million.  A Porsche Cayenne is shown crashing into a Smart and pushing it into the water.  This video went viral and the back story changed to it being a stolen car in a real chase.  Originally intended as a drama, the script underwent a frantic 2-week rewrite to be re-imagined into a comedy just a few weeks prior to filming.  All police uniforms, logos and striping on police care are incorrect.
