This film is also
titled Irreplaceable. Jean-Pierre
is a doctor and the people in this countryside area of France are counting on him for
their healthcare. Jean-Pierre
learns he has a cancerous tumor on the left side of his brain. He’s starting chemotherapy but
he’s also advised to stop working.
He doesn’t stop working and his doctor knows this is what he will do. He sends former emergency room physician
Nathalie Delezia to help with his patients. Jean-Pierre begins introducing her to his patients and
teaching her how to listen to the patients.
This film is
good. Jean-Pierre doesn’t want to
let go of the reins on his practice at all. Then he starts to see that some information from the left side of
his brain is not getting through.
This helps him to see he does need help or he can't continue his work. The characters are very
believable and you are drawn into this film. Usually, a patient knows what is wrong with them and the
doctor just needs to guide them to tell him the information. 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
