The setting of this film is during the marijuana bonanza, a violent decade that brought drug trafficking to Colombia. Rapayet
and his Wayuu indigenous family get involved in a war to control the drug business
that ends up destroying their lives and their culture. The drug trade brings wealth but at a high cost.
This is
a serious film with a realistic and interesting view into how a small change
can lead to a larger change and continue on like a chain reaction. The end can be death and chaos. The people are trapped and unable to
escape because of their choices. Once this family enters into the drug business there are many changes!! Everything that was
beautiful is lost and corrupted by dullness and greedy people. They see power but they find death
instead. There is very good
photography of Colombia with some areas of dry desert and come of rich lush
jungle. The mother is the tribal
leader with a daughter that is very pretty.
