Jack Ryan ups its game in its second episode by ramping up the suspense and action while also giving us an inside look at chief antagonist Suleiman’s family life, resulting in some strong character development. And, it comes one step closer to becoming a globetrotting adventure with a conflict spanning more than one continent.
Suleiman’s threat may involve some sort of virus outbreak and there has been Ebola in some areas. Suleiman’s wife Hanin has begun to question her husband’s circle of supporters. One of his men teases their daughter with a lollipop and this causes her discomfort because of the sexual implications.
Everything is not smooth sailing for Ryan when he stands up to an army of CIA executives. They are questioning how an analyst knows more about Suleiman than everyone else? Ryan just follows the money and that gives a picture of what is going on!! Greer and Ryan also clash as they fail to see eye to eye but and both have shady pasts. Greer is a convert to Islam and this is an interesting angle concerning Suleiman. Ryan and Greer fly to France to make contact with Suleiman’s brother because he is arranging for a fund transfer. 5* (I really liked this episode)
