Young Victor Frankenstien loves his dog Sparky, he stars as an actor in Victor's homemade monster movies. A car hits Sparky and Victor tries to use science to bring
him back. There is a new science
teacher at the school and he demonstrated to the students how a dead frog could move by
electrical stimulation to the muscles.
Sparky is “supposed” to stay in the attic because he looks a little
different but of course that doesn’t happen. There is a science fair and some
of the other students get involved in “raising” things from the dead.
This is funny, different and enjoyable. Sparky was brought back to life by pure
love. Filmed in 3-D black and
white stop motion animation and based on a short film from nearly 30 years ago
by Tim Burton. 3 ½* (I liked this
movie)
87 min, Animated directed by Tim Burton with the
voices of Charlie Tahan, Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Catherine O’Hara, Martin
Short, Atticus Shaffer, James Liao.
Note:
Blockbuster 3 ½*, imdb 7.0 out of 10, 87% critic 72% audience on Rotten
Tomatoes.
