This
film documents two years of the life and work of theoretical physicist
Professor Stephen Hawking. He is
attending Cambridge and at the age of 21 he is diagnosed with motor neurone
disease (ALS). His parents are
worried he will die from this illness before he can finish his degree. The neurologist said he has two years left to live.
Interesting and Comberbatch does a good job in this role. It seems fantastic to have the kind of
mind that can understand the vastness of universe in mathematical terms! Hawking has lived to be 73 years old
and he has only the use of one cheek muscle at this time. He has been married twice and he has
three children. He is able to
communicate with a voice simulator.
