Erica wanted to be a
dancer and she was dating Trey. He
is working in the music industry.
One day her credit cards are denied and Trey says they are done as a
couple. Erica doesn’t get a chance
to tell him she is having his baby.
She ends up on the street and she’s homeless plus she doesn’t have any
family. A woman leads her to a
place to stay for the night but her baby dies accidentally. Fortunately, she finds a home with
Joan. This is a women’s shelter
with rules and jobs for new beginnings.
Joan is a former nurse and she practices tough love but offers a helping
hand. Erica finds a chance to turn
her life around.
Erica has trouble
with drinking and she doesn’t speak for a while after she goes to live with
Joan and the other women. She’s
deep in grief over her baby plus what has become of her life. Erica can be her own worst enemy at
times. There is a very sad
incident in this film. 3 ½* (I
liked this movie)
