Amber Hewson is on
the road with her cat and she’s going to end her driving when her gas tank gets
empty. She stops in a town when
she can’t go any further. She looks in the paper and Clay shows her a small furnished
apartment that will just suit her.
Clay owns a small antique store and the apartment is above his
store. Clay and Elizabeth start to
be a couple but Clay wants to inch along like a snail. He wants an old fashioned romance and
he has outdated theories on love and romance.
Usually I would like
a movie with this plot but I couldn’t get interested. I didn’t think Amber and Clay had any chemistry
together? The story is supposed to
run slowly and thoughtfully but it seems more like going back to the snail
theory. I thought the best actor
was the cat!! 2* (I didn’t like
this movie)
