This film is based on
a novel by Agatha Christie published in the UK in November 1966. Norma Restarick comes to see Hercule
Poirot because she believes she may have killed someone. Norma’s former nanny Miss Lavinia
Seagram is found dead but it is believed that she killed herself? Poirot learns that his writer friend
Ariadne Oliver lives in the same apartment block as Norma. Ariadne tells Poirot that two other
women live in the apartment and Norma is the third girl. Poirot attempts to unravel what is
going on. What really happened to
Nanny Seagram? Poirot goes to the
Restarick family home in the country to get more information and sort through
the motives of the relatives.
There are twists and
turns in this story!! Of course,
Hercule Poirot will sort it all out with his “little gray cells!!” Norma has had a lot of difficulty in
her life. She has had several
times when she needed therapy to overcome what has happened to her in the past
and also in the present. Her
family is wealthy and this can cause people to want to stick to her like glue
for the wrong reasons. 4* (I
really liked this movie)
