This is a complex drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance. Bobby Axe Axelrod and Taylor are on an explosive collision course in hedge fund management. They are using their considerable smarts, power and influence to outmaneuver each other. The stakes are in the billions in this series.
Axe is closing ranks and he is determined to destroy Taylor’s company. He is blocking funding for her and she need money to stay in business. It’s like an expensive and complicated tech war with offense and defense. Taylor is trying to do what it takes to stay in business. She has poached some of the former employees of Axe’s company. She has also hired a savvy woman to help her like Wendy Rhoades does for Axe. Chuck Rhoades is no longer US Attorney and he is struggling to regain power. His goal is to be elected as Attorney General in the next election.
Billions explores weighty adult issues of power, success, greed in a high stakes money world. This type of business leads to arguments, threats, strong language and frank sex. Characters often drink socially and smoke cigarettes. As a business man or woman, when you are up you are really up and when you are down you are at the bottom of the food chain!! Power and money are the goals!! 5* (I really like this series)
