Three woman emigrate from Holland to New Zealand as war brides. This movie was inspired by the true story of the Last Great Air Race from London to Christchurch in October 1953. Marjorie, Esther and Ada meet Frank on their flight, he is also settling in New Zealand for a better life. Years later the three women catch up on what happened in their lives at Frank's funeral.This is good, it took a lot of courage for the women to leave their families and homeland to marry strangers. It takes a little bit of concentration to keep the younger and older actors separated into which ones are Marjorie, Esther and Ada. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
