Alex comes from a family of career military officers, she has a long record of distinguished service in the Marine Corps but she didn't advance in the ranks the way she had hoped. She comes home after four tours of duty in Iraq, her friends are surprised that she has been discharged during a war and only a year before she would be eligible for a pension. A friend on the police force asks her to help a young woman who is the only survivor in an accident that killed her parents. Saffron doesn't feel she deserved to live, has been convicted on drug-related charges and she has been given the choice of prison or the military.
This movie feels like they used a check list to mark off all the cliches they wanted to include, tough woman Marine, check; blond and buff, check; physiological problems, check; hard drinking and hangs out in bars, check; someone out to get her, check; friends and enemies with a lot of problems, check. Did I leave anything out, you keep hoping the movie will get better but it just does not. 2* (I didn't like this movie)
