Set in Long Island in the summer of 2002, Laura is a dental hygienist and her marriage to a real estate agent has bottomed out. They have a 12 year old son, Dennis, he is pushing into being a teen and all that behavior. She finds herself drinking too many beers, smoking too many cigarettes. It doesn't help that her parents and her sister live nearby, they have plenty of unwelcome advice.This is listed as a comedy but it is not funny? It is interesting, the characters are realistic and you wonder how it's going to unfold. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
