Betty is a writer in France with a four year old son (Joseph), her mother (Margot) comes to visit from Spain. Margot is mentally unstable, she once attacked Betty with scissors and their relationship is difficult. Joseph is supposed to be taking a nap but he sees a small bird and falls out the bedroom window. Betty is devastated when Joseph dies, Margot thinks she can help Betty by kidnapping a boy like Joseph.Many zigs and zags and stories of other people but interesting, loss grief, anger, greed, jealousy, love. Kiberlain is a good actress. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
