This film is based on
a best selling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. The film begins in 1959, John F.
Kennedy announces his run for president.
A former Marine grows disillusioned with America and tries living in
Russia. Their paths cross in
Dallas.
In this film, there is a lot more
information about Oswald than I’ve seen before. More about his thinking
process and his home life. He was
a Marxist and he believes Cuba should be left alone by the US government. He had two young daughters, he hit his
wife and she left him. I didn’t
know he tried to kill US Major General Edwin Walker and he killed Dallas
Patrolman J.D. Tippet after killing Kennedy. 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
87
min, Drama directed by Nelson McCormick with Rob Lowe, Will Rothhar, Jack
Noseworthy, Casey Siemaszko, Boris McGiver, Richard Flood, Ginnifer Goodwin,
Michelle Trachtenberg.

Note: Marina Oswald married
Kenneth Porter in 1965 and they had two sons. It is not indicated as her belief in the film but she has
appeared in numerous documentaries stating Oswald was innocent of the assassination. She has lived in Rockwall, Texas since
the mid-1970’s. I felt sorry for
her as portrayed but I don’t support her views.
