Sam and Jeff have
moved from Delaware with their daughter Beatrice to New York. Jeff has taken a job working with
computers and Sam is working on enrolling five-year-old Beatrice in private
school. Sam learns many
mothers register their children prior to being born! There is a LOT of competition, Sam wants to give up until she meets Sue. She is a
woman who can help her enroll Beatrice in a private school for a price. Sue tells the headmistress that Jeff is
a renowned poet and his book is being published. None of this true and they have to keep up this lie if they
want to be one of the chosen!!
This film has a good
premise but it tries very hard to be in the rated R category. I think the film would’ve done better
in reviews with a more clean-cut story considering the subject of the story. It becomes so muddied and off-track that you just want
to turn it off rather than wait for the ending. 2 ½* (This movie is so-so)
