This film is based on
a novel written by Scott Turow and published in 2010. Judge Rusty Sabich was charged with murder in the death of
his mistress twenty years ago. He
was cleared but the prosecutor has always wondered if Rusty was really guilty? Rusty has just celebrated his 60-year
birthday and he starts a relationship with his former law clerk Anna
Vostick. He has had problems in
his marriage before and they start up again. Barbara dies presumably from natural causes at home. Tommy Molto decides to try to win this
case since he lost the previous case.
Right away I can say
that this is just an OK movie. A
lot of twists to make it more interesting but some seem implausible? Since Rusty is a Judge, he should be
trustworthy but this could be all a game he likes to play with the law. 2 1/2* (This movie is just OK)

Special
Note: The character Rusty Sabich is a head appellate judge. He is ruling on an appeal by a convicted murderer that he prosecuted. In reality, he should have removed himself from the case. He also should not have presided because he was personally involved. Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Some of the reviewers on
Amazon thought they should be given a refund for renting this film on Amazon Video?
