Diablo 2015

      The time period for this film is 1872, Jackson was in the civil war seven years ago. He and his wife have a homestead now.  Four men come to their property and kidnap his wife.  Their house is set on fire and also their barn.  Some neighbors find Jackson passed out from smoke inhalation outside the barn.  As soon as he’s able, Jackson sets out to track down the men and get his wife back.  The men spoke Spanish so he heads toward Mexico.

      This film starts out as a regular husband heading out to get his wife back.  Then, it starts to turn dark and adds a bunch of complications.  The best part of this film is the scenery with the mountains, snow and the trees.  2 ½* (This movie is just so-so)

90 min, Action directed by Lawrence Roeck with Scott Eastwood, Walton Groggins, Camilla Belle, Adam Beach, Samuel Marty, Jose Zuniga, Tzi Ma, Joaquim de Almeida, Danny Glover, Greg Lawson, Yaniv Bercovitz.

Special Note:  Filmed in Alberta, Canada.  This is Scott Eastwood’s first western.
