Ireland's Wild Coast 2017

Wildlife cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson takes a rowing journey to see Ireland’s western & northern coastlines, islands, mountains, woodlands and ancient Celtic ruins.  He shows and talks about the marine life, bird life and land animals that call this area home.  There is also footage of the ocean, coastline and streams.
Ireland is the last scrap of rock before the void of the Atlantic Ocean.  It was the edge of the known world for Europeans and the last stop for many animals before disappearing into the western ocean.  Featuring the Skellig Rocks, traveling humpback whales and the golden eagles on the northern highlands.  Salmon are returning from the Arctic to swim upriver for spawning and the last surviving red deer stags conduct their antler battles.  There is a lot of interesting information.  The scenery, the water and the animals are very beautiful.   4* (I really liked this film)

120 Min, PBS Doc directed by John Murray Cepa Giblin and written by Colin Stafford-Johnson.
