Single
mother Lisa Decker drops off her daughter Julie for her first day of
kindergarten. Right away, two
other girls, Kayla and Sam, join Julie in front of the school.
They become friends for the rest of their school years. Lisa meets their fathers, Kayla’s
dad Mitchell and Sam’s dad Hunter.
They also become close friends throughout the school years. Now it’s senior year and the girls are
going to prom. Lisa, Mitchell and
Hunter see some of the texts the girls are sending to each other. The subject matter leads them to begin following the girls
instead of letting them go along with their plans for prom night.
I thought this was
funny and the parents get into more trouble than the girls!! Lisa
is in denial that she is going to really miss Julie. She’s been worrying about the day Julie goes to college for 18
years. Mitchell is overprotective and he wants
to keep Kayla a little girl forever. Hunter carries a lot of
guilt because he feels he neglected Sam after his bitter separation from her
mother. I didn’t know how this was
going was going to end? 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
