Sawyer Valentini has
moved away from her home town after the death of her father. She has been stalked by a man, she needs to get
away to a new area with new people and a new job. Her mother is concerned about Sawyer and they try to talk on
the phone every day. Sawyer
occasionally sees the face of her stalker in other men? She makes an appointment with a
counselor at Highland Creek Behavioral Center. This starts to go bad when she learns she will be kept for
seven days against her will. She calls the police
to be released but they see her signed release form and they aren’t able to do
anything. She will stay
for seven days and she is forced to take daily medication. She tried telling everyone that she
wants to leave!!
I was surprised that
a person can be signed into a treatment facility after just meeting with a
counselor? One of the other
patients tells Sawyer that the Center wants to keep her until her medical
insurance refuses to pay anymore.
It doesn’t matter if she is really having enough mental instability to
be kept for an extended period.
Once the money runs out, the patient has had a miracle cure!! If Sawyer tries to protest her
treatment, she is given more medication and put into restraints if they seem
to be warranted. 3 ½* (I liked
this movie)
