The Paris Express 1952

Kees Popinga has been the head clerk for the Dutch DeKoster Company for a couple of decades.  Kees has a wife, two children and he owns a small home   Detective Marius Goring visits the firm and he has been investigating the them.  Julius de Koster, Jr., the owner of the company has become infatuated with a Parisian girl, Micelle Rozier.  He has cooked the books and there isn’t any money left in the company?? When Kees learns this information, he gets into a confrontation with Julius.  There is an accident, Julius falls into the water near their building and he drowns.  Earlier, Kees saw Julius kissing Michelle and he put her on the Paris Express train.  Kees takes the suitcase full of money that Julius was carrying.  He goes on the Paris Express to confront Michelle about the money!!
Kees has been working in his tiny office for a long time and he doesn’t know much about the world and especially Paris!!  He loves trains and he has always wanted to take the Paris Express.  He does have a suspicious nature about people wanting to suddenly become his friend?  His reactions cause him to become very paranoid and unhinged.  He’s really out of his element!!  3 ½* (I liked this movie)
