Rhonda is Grace's Mom and Grace has a younger sister Taylor. Rhonda is trying to get Taylor into the modeling business and it seems like Rhonda is trying harder for Taylor to make it than Grace. Rhonda says no one in the family has gone to college before so what's the big deal. It is a big deal if you want to be a doctor, shouldn't you start out in college?
Plans start to unravel, a lot of arguments between Grace and Rhonda. Dorian has been living with his uncle, his parents were tired of bailing him out. His uncle discovers the pot and phones Dorian's parents, Dorian is out the window. Dorian, Grace, Taylor meet up to try to resolve all the issues.
You can tell right away that Grace (Eva Amurri) is Susan Sanandon's daughter, she has a lot of the same features. This movie has a lot of "follow-the-pattern" themes usually presented in what will happen after high school graduation movies. Money problems, issues with parents, issues with siblings, getting into trouble, desparation, liking the wrong guy, etc. The characters do draw you into their lives and you have concern about their choices and wrong decisions. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
95 min, Comedy, Anton Yelchin, Eva Amurri, Susan Sarandon.
