This season begins in
1919 and it is a year after WWI has ended.
Rose, Harry’s beloved wife, has passed away. Rosalie Selfridge has married Serge De Bolotoff and the
marriage includes a mother-in-law, Princess Marie from Russia. Violette Selfridge has been seeing Victor Colleano at
his club. Harry Selfridge is
working with Nancy Webb to build affordable housing for the returning soldiers
and their families. Kitty Hawkins
has married Frank Edwards. One of the soldiers returned from the war hits her and knocks her down
on the street. Lord Loxley has
returned as a thorn in Harry’s side.
I really like this
series, it reminds me of Downton Abbey. The characters are very real and you miss them when they move
on to other endeavors. There is a
lot going on in this season. 4* (
