Framed for Murder: A Fixer Upper Mystery 2017

This film is from the Fixer Upper Mystery book series by Kate Carlisle.  Shannon Hughes is the best man for the job of home repair or renovation in the small resort town of Lighthouse Cove.  She is the owner of Hughes Restoration and an expert in Victorian home restoration and renovation.  Shannon believes that a local man’s mysterious death shows signs of foul play.  The police have other ideas but new events add more suspicion that this could be murder?
This is a Hallmark Movie.  The one thing about LOT of Hallmark movies is that they are very predictable?  There is a LOT of running around and also not getting required information such as a license plate number.  When the police are called, they naturally put handcuffs on the wrong person?  The police also make a wrong assumption about a crime and the victim?  Of course, if the police were doing an exemplary job, why would everyday citizens need to put themselves in danger??  3* (This movie is OK)

84 min, Crime directed by Mark Jean with Jewel Kilcher, Colin Ferguson, Erin Karpluk, Ron Lea, Colin Lawrence, Laura Soltis, Marcus Rosner, Ken Tremblett, Bill Dow, Jason Cermak, Karen Holness, Roderick Glanville, Joanne Wilson, Mia Golden.

Note:  Imdb 6.8 out of 10, 43% audience on Rotten Tomatoes, Amazon 4.3* out of 5* with 40 reviews, Carstairs Considers Blog 4* out of 5*,
Special Note:  Filmed in Oak Bay, Victoria and Colwood, British Columbia, Canada.  The artifacts shown in the Maritime Museum were loaned to the production by the actual Maritime Museum in British Columbia from among the 35,000 objects in their collection.  There is another film with the same title from 1934.  I can imagine that the 1934 film is completely different from the 2017 movie!!
