The small Norwegian
village is between the sea and the mountains. Aslak is six years old and he lives with his mother Astrid. Aslak has a border collie dog named
Rapp and he goes missing. Astrid
tells him that Rapp will come back on his own. Despite what his mother told him, Aslak goes into the dark forest of the mountains alone to try
to find Rapp. Lasse is Aslak’s
friend and he tells Aslak that there is a werewolf in the forest? Aslak has an older brother and the
police come to talk to Astrid about him.
He has been exhibiting violent behavior? This is the first major motion picture adaptation of the
novel since the 2003 television adaptation.
Aslak lives in a
shadowy world and I wonder if what he sees is real or are they the images in his
dreams or imagination? There are a lot of
questions but not any clear answers? This is probably a good movie selection for a rainy and foggy day? 3*
