Cyril is an 11 year-old boy living in an
orphanage because his father says he can’t care for him and doesn’t have the
money. Cyril refuses to believe
his father doesn’t want him. He
calls and doesn’t believe the disconnected message. He goes to their apartment and doesn’t believe that his
father isn’t still living there until he sees everything is gone. He doesn’t believe his father sold his
bike to another father for his son.
He meets Samantha and she buys his bike back for him. She agrees to take him on the weekends
so he can have some kind of home life.
She doesn’t realize how desperate and difficult he can be.
Cyril’s father fits the definition of a
bum!! Cyril is really struggling
but he is a handful. I don’t know
if I would be able to cope with his behavior even though he needs and deserves
someone in his life. This can be
frustrating to watch. 3 ½* (I
liked this movie)
