Meryl Streep narrates this IMAX documentary following
a mother polar bear and her twin seven-month-old cubs as they travel through
the Arctic landscape. It’s a tough
job for a polar bear mother with the ice melting sooner and melting more. She has to find food for herself and
her two cubs plus keep track of hungry male polar bears thinking about eating
the cubs. Polar bears are closely
related to the brown bear but they have adapted to the cold temperatures. Their coats have turned white for
camouflage and their noses are longer to smell for food.
Very interesting with stunning cinematography showing
the bears swimming underwater. A
furry face illustrating climate change is real and ongoing. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
