Katie lives in Boston. One
evening she runs to a another house with bare feet and only a few items in a
pillowcase. She cuts her hair,
changes the color from brown to blond and takes a Greyhound bus out of
town. A policeman is right behind
her trying to keep her from leaving.
She manages to get out on the bus and out of the depot without him finding her. She gets
off the bus at one of their stops in the small North Carolina town of Southport. She finds a job as a waitress and begins
living in an isolated cabin. She
meets Alex, he’s a widowed store owner with two children.
This is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel so that gives you a lot of
information about this film.
Slightly predictable but a lot of the information about why she ran away
is told later on in flashbacks. 3*
