This
film is based on the true story of Oscar Grant. He was a 22-year-old who was out celebrating the end of December
2008. His mother asked him to take
the BART because she didn’t want him out driving if he had something to drink
that night. He’s recently lost his
job and he’s thinking about how to turn his life around. He’s deciding about resolutions for the
New Year. How can he be a better son, boyfriend, father and stop lying all the
time? During the ride home on the
BART, he is provoked into a fight with a man confronting him. Police officers were called to sort out
the people and the episode.
I
liked the main focus of this film is more about the life of Oscar Grant rather than how he died. He
had his good side and his bad side just like everyone else but it was sad for him and his family that his life was cut short. 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
