Adam
has been struggling with an addiction and he’s just reached the 5-year
mark. He’s had a lot of help from
his sponsor Mike. They both attend
regular meetings for sex addiction.
They are both trying to help newcomer Neil. He’s a young doctor who has worked hard on his profession
but he’s struggling with harassing women at work, on the street and on the
subway. Adam has just met Phoebe
but she has made it a rule to not date addicts. She has problems with her own over extreme control of food
intake and exercise addiction.
This
film is very serious with a serious subject. It’s listed as a comedy but there is nothing funny at all in
this material. The only actors
letting go at all are Pink and Josh Gad.
The rest of the cast are completely involved in a self-help project. 3* (This movie is OK)
