Richie
is into gambling and how he pays his tuition at Princeton. He was working for a large firm Wall
Street firm but lost his job plus his money
during the market crash. He loses
on his latest effort to get the money he needs by betting all his funds and he heads to Costa Rica to
meet with an online gambling tycoon.
Richie thinks all he needs to do is talk to Ivan Block, get his money back because of an error and then start
over. Ivan instead offers him the
job of a lifetime.
There
isn’t anything new in this film and other critics have thrown it under the bus
because of its blandness. Timberlake
does a good job but Affleck is phoning in his role like Bruce Willis seems to
be doing lately. With so much
opposition from every side, you begin to wonder if Richie will make it out of
this alive? 2 ½* (This movie
is so-so)
91
min, Crime directed by Brad Furman with Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake, Gemma
Arterton, Anthony Mackie, Micael Esper, Oliver Cooper, Christian George, Yul
Vazquex, John Heard, James Molina.
Note: Imdb 5.6 out of 10, 9% critic 34%
