A competition
is held by Bluebook, the world’s largest and most popular internet search company. The winner will spend a week at a private mountain estate. Nathan owns the company and the estate. Caleb Smith is a programmer and he is
the winner of the contest.
When Caleb arrives by helicopter, he finds he will be staying at a very remote location. It will be his job to
will interact with the world’s first true artificial intelligence being. He meets Ava and he will be evaluating
her behavior and interactions with him to verify her perfectionism in
intelligence as compared with a human being.
Nathan is not a very
sympathetic character in my opinion. He is unprofessional and he has made personal choices on the path to creating Ava. Caleb really wants to be significant in this experiment and
give it his best shot. Ava deserves an objective and real opinion.
There is a lot going on here in the background that comes to the surface
in increments. Both Nathan and
Caleb are not getting the true picture but they believe they are.
Nathan knows more background than Caleb but even Nathan doesn’t see what is really happening. 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
