Sol Harkens is the world’s
most famous atheist. Despite his
far-reaching fame, he’s really a lonely man and a lousy part-time dad. Sol and his ex-wife Katy suffered the
loss of their nine-year-old son David because of cancer. Both Sol and Katy have not recovered from this loss. Katy is doing a lot better than Sol but
she has two other boys to take care of while Sol is alone. Sol has a near death experience while
driving drunk and wrecking his car.
He sees their son David and he tells Sol to “let there be light?” Sol is in worse condition after seeing David and he
doesn’t understand what David meant?
Everything he knows and believes has been challenged? He’s having a difficult time coming to
grips with what may be his new reality?
Sol is all over the
place and he really likes vodka!! It
doesn’t help that his publicist and his assistant don’t tell him the
truth!! They are interested in
furthering Sol’s career because that’s what lines their pockets. They want sales of his latest book to
go through the roof!! They want
him to give many lectures and sell out the venues every time!! His assistant is more on Sol's side than his publicist. This film had a lot of promise but
sometimes it turns hokey!! 3*
