     Ruth Bader Ginsburg is now the age of 84 years old.  She is a U.S. Supreme Court Justice and she is the only woman on the bench at this time.  She has an extensive legal legacy and she has unexpectedly become a pop culture icon.  She is a very quiet and reserved woman but she works very hard.  She has done this all her life.  Her husband Marty would have to call her to remind her to eat lunch, to come home, eat dinner and to sleep.  He passed away June 27, 2010 from cancer.  Ruth has had cancer twice and they were two different types.  She has had and is still having an exceptional life and career. 

      I thought this was interesting and good.  I didn't know the type of cases Ruth presented to the court before she was voted to be a member.  She argued many cases concerning civil liberties and gender discrimination.  She was confirmed for the Supreme Court on June 18, 1980 and she has served for over 38 years.  She is a fan of opera and she also works with a trainer at a gym to maintain her physical strength.  She is not a very good cook so she stays out of the kitchen!!  3 1/2* (I liked this movie)

Special Note:  Clara Spera is Ruth’s granddaughter and she calls Ruth Bubbie.  This is the Yiddish term for grandmother.  She called her grandfather Tateh and that is Yiddish for father as long as he was alive.  Directors Julie Cohen and Besty West worked previously on projects involving Ginsburgh.  In 2015, they decided to made a documentary on focus solely on Ruth.  In 2016, they followed Ruth to various meetings and speeches for a total of 20 hours.  They conducted a face-to-face interview in 2017.
