A
lonely man in his 50’s living in the small French town of Germain meets a very
pleasant woman in her 90’s on a park bench. She reads a lot and he’s not very good at reading, she
begins to open up words and books to his life. She has a passion and appreciation for literature but
he has always felt excluded from this type of life. They establish a deep friendship that starts them both on a
new journey.
A
wonderful idea but this comes across as dull and boring, not worth the time to
finish. Margueritte is very
pleasant but the same cannot be said for Germain. I am always willing to believe that a very large old man is with an attractive young woman!! Not!! 2* (I didn’t like this movie)
