This film is based upon a novel by Don DeLillo and set in New York of
the near future. Eric Packer is a
28 year-old billionaire financial genius in the field of currency speculation
and the uncontested king of Wall Street.
He has taken an enormous gamble betting against the yuan exchange
rate. As he travels across town in
his limo, he watches his fortune go down the drain.
This is a waste of every actor involved in this yak attack movie. It’s talking and taking about the
meaning of life, ideas and imaginations about capitalism and inconsequential
trivia for 109 minutes. 2* (I
didn’t like this movie)
