Based on a novel by Yann Martel. Pi Patel is an Indian storyteller
living in Canada. A writer comes to
visit him and he tells him about his childhood in Pondicherry, India. Pi’s family owns the animals in a zoo
but the city owns the land.
Santosh explains to his wife and two sons that the city will not be
providing money to run the zoo and they are planning on selling the
animals. They will be moving to
Canada and sailing by freighter with the animals.
This is very good, Pi does not want to leave
India, it’s the only home he’s known.
The photography and the story are very moving with underlying
meaning. 4* (I really liked this
movie)
